Black Rose Pin

October 22, 2008

I have been having so much fun making crocheted flowers lately that I knew I just had to make one for Halloween. I actually made this last Wednesday while watching Pushing Daisies. Maybe I should have made a daisy instead.

Anyway, here is my black rose pin with a skull and crossbones button.

The button I made with a button maker and some skull and crossbones fabric I got a few months ago. The fabric is going to be used as the lining in my poison tote bag, whenever I get around to making it, but it worked well for a button too.

This was my first time using a button maker and it wasn't as easy as I thought. It took me five tries to get the skull centered. Ugh! I guess I just need more practice, and that means more flowers!
