The Rose and the other huge hits of 1980!

January 15, 2009

It's not too hard to figure out what inspired this craft. Bette Midler' song, The Rose, has always been one of my favorite songs. It was also a huge hit in 1980. I remember a girl in my high school chorus class singing it one year at our concert, and she totally nailed it.

I'm normally not a huge fan of Bette Midler, but I really do like this song. I have yet to see the movie though. I might have to use one of my free Blockbuster rentals for this one.

Let's take a look back at some of the Billboard Top 100 songs of 1980. How many are your favorites still to this day?
  1. Call Me - Blondie
  2. Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd
  3. Magic - Olivia Newton John

  5. Do That to Me One More Time - Captain and Tennille
  6. Crazy Little Thing Called Love - Queen
