The flu has hit, big time!

February 18, 2010

I have been MIA lately because I have been battling the flu. Whew! This flu has been terrible. I haven't felt this bad since I got the chicken pox at 25 yrs. old. That was bad!!! The good news is I am finally able to focus my eyes for a few minutes to type a little bit.

Even though I have been in the house for a total of 8 days now, I haven't been able to do anything, even craft. My joints hurt so much even clicking the TV remote hurts. At least I finally feel like I am rounding the corner to getting better.

The girls have been super good. They haven't even been waking me up to feed them, or maybe I've just been so sick I haven't heard them. In any case, this picture sums up the last week and a half at my house.

I am hoping to be back to normal by Monday. The girls hope so too. I have been neglecting play time with them. I have both a little and a large destash project for them though. I just have to get my fingers working again!

  1. I hope that your on the upswing soon, sick is no fun. I have three sick kids and a sick hubby myself. Thankfully, I'm not sick (at least not yet) and can take care of them all.

  2. Awww. Poor thing! I hope you're feeling better SOON!!!!!!
Eat plenty of garlic bread, drink pleanty of orange juice, and take a multi vitamin every day while you're sick. Lots of time in front of the tv with hot water bottles and blankets. Get better quickly!!
Oh, and if you can find eucalyptus oil somehow, it works fabulously on blocked noses and headaches. Just sniff it up!
    Hugs to you!!!

  3. Oh man...I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. You know you're really sick when you're not in the mood to craft. :)

I love that photo! The peacefully sleeping cat and the snow-covered trees outside.

  4. Hope you are starting to feel much better. My 11 year old is still sleeping at 11 am. He came home from a friend's last nite with a headache, dizzy and vomiting -- and missed his 9 am baseball game. A quiet morning around here. Wishing you all the best, Tammy
