Welcome to week 4 of the granny along.
So, have you finally gotten the hang of your pattern now? I hope so, because this week we are really going to work our little fingers!

Week 4 task: crochet 4 granny squares; post pictures of your squares or your progress
Extra task: tell what your favorite yarn is and if you are using it for your project. Are you destashing?
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well, I accomplished my goal from last week by completing all 13 white inner squares. I already completed one white centered square.
Now this week I will finish the 6 remaining green inner squares, plus 4 completed squares. I think I can do it. I just need a little positive thinking!
Extra task: My favorite yarn is Vanna’s Choice from Lion Brand. Unfortunately, I am not using any of that yarn for this lapghan. I am using destashed white yarn and green Red Heart Super Saver yarn.
I don’t know what kind of yarn the white is, but it is actually working out very well. It is really easy to crochet with and is a little softer than the green yarn.
Now that life is calming down a bit for me I wish I had done this CAL. It sounds like you're getting a lot done. I hope you do it again in the future so I can join in. Can't wait to see it finished.
