When I started this blog back in 2006, my vision was clear: blog about things I made and liked. Over the past 15+ years, that vision has become blurred. I have changed many times, tried to follow trends, gotten burned out, and ultimately stepped away from blogging because of it. It is now time to go back to the basics.

What to Expect

Crafting: My main focus on this blog has always been about my handmade crafts. Unfortunately, due to the weight of life circumstances over the past 5 years, my crafting desire has dwindled down to zero. I have had no motivation to pick up a needle or hook, but I feel that weight now lifting.

I feel that the majority of my craft projects in 2022 will be sewing, crocheting, and cross-stitching. Those are my go to crafts anyway. I have a few smaller projects already in the works, so I am happy to see my craft juices flowing again.

Blogging: In the past, I have placed many goals on my blogging. That is no more! I will now only blog what I want, when I want. So, there will be no set schedule for posts. With a new kitty coming soon, I’m sure there will be plenty of cute cat pics to post. And I hope to craft continuously throughout the year, so there should be regular craft posts, but how regular is the question.

There are two additions I want to make to the blog. The first is a new monthly post showcasing women-owned craft businesses. I am still working on that idea, but look forward to the first post in March. The second is a craft compilation I have been working on. I’m going to keep it secret, for now, but expect to see that sometime closer to the summer.

Now for the subtraction. I will no longer be posting yarn palettes posts. So many stores are no longer carrying certain yarn anymore, so putting those posts together has become harder and harder to do. If you are interested in seeing the past posts, check out the “inspiration” menu bar.

Kitty Pics: I am in the process of adopting my new cat! I am sure there will be plenty of kitty antics to post about on the blog and kitty pics to post on Instagram. I will primarily only be using Instagram for social media, but I might pop on Facebook and Pinterest from time to time.

I’m looking forward to sharing some new posts and projects with you soon!
